The Whiskey Shakes formed in early 2014 in Lynchburg, Virginia. The acoustic trio include Chris Mowry on multiple percussion instruments including the turbo slap-top walnut cajun, the vibra-slap and the occasional Mexican maracas with a sprinkling of back up vocals on various tunes. Mr. Andrew Beverly is rock solid on lead vocals, simultaneously playing his custom made Lakewood 6-string guitar built for him personally in Germany. Mark Creasy can also be found on vocals, blues harp, a Guild mini-bass and a Breedlove 12-string guitar (however, not all at the same time). Some of the popular bands that have influenced the trio over the years are The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, The Turnpike Troubadours, The Faces, Tyler Childers, The Grateful Dead, The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers and Bob Marley just to name a few.
